OBAMA VISITED THE FORMER PRISON MANDE


U.S. President Barack Obama will make a visit to Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela location was jailed for 18 years.
The trip comes a day after Obama visited the family members of the former president's 94-year-old, who is still critically ill in hospital.
Obama honor the positive impact provided by the anti-apartheid leader in establishing freedom in South Africa.
Obama described him as "an inspiration to the world".

Obama is expected to give a compliment to the achievements of South Africa over the last two decades. But Obama is also expected to emphasize that there is still much to be done to tackle poverty and disease, and strengthen democracy across the continent.
He also announced a grant of U.S. $ 7 billion over five years to improve access to electricity in sub-Saharan Africa, in partnership with African countries and the private sector.
